THE LEAD: FIFTH WOMAN ACCUSES ROY MOORE OF SEXUAL HARASSMENT

Roy Moore, the Republican Senate candidate in Alabama, was accused by a fifth woman on Monday of unwanted sexual advances, which took place when she was a teenager. This after Republicans in DC have called for Moore to drop out of the race or expel him if he wins.

The New York Times reports, “The new accuser, Beverly Young Nelson, told a news conference in New York that Mr. Moore attacked her when she was 16 and he was a prosecutor in Etowah County, Ala. ”

A few hours prior to the news conference, Senator Mitch McConnell, the Republican leader, said Moore should step aside and that he believes the women who have accused Moore of sexual misconduct when they were teenagers.

President Trump “is set to play a decisive role in the Republican battle over Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore — if he chooses to do so,” reports The Hill. “Trump, who so far has declined to directly address the allegations against Moore, is facing pressure from both sides.”

10 new people were indicted in the death of late Penn State Beta Theta Pi fraternity pledge Timothy Piazza. Five men now face felony charges over their involvement in Piazza’s death in February.

“Each man was charged with felony aggravated assault and misdemeanor involuntary manslaughter for their alleged roles in the events that led to Piazza’s death on Feb. 4,” reported the Centre Daily Times.  “Charges filed against them also include misdemeanor simple assault, misdemeanor recklessly endangering another person, misdemeanor hazing and misdemeanor furnishing liquor to a minor.”

New video evidence recovered in the case revealed that Piazza consumed 18 alcoholic drinks in one hour and 22 minutes as part of a hazing ritual.

The ‘apocalypse’ has arrived in Italy, apparently, as the national team failed to make the World Cup for the first time in almost 60 years:

During his Asia trip, President Trump went right to the top to seek help for three UCLA basketball players accused of shoplifting in China, asking the country’s president, Xi Jinping, to help resolve the case quickly, according to multiple reports yesterday.

ESPN reported that there is video footage of three players, including high-profile freshman LiAngelo Ball, “shoplifting from three stores inside a high-end shopping center, which houses Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent and Salvatore Ferragamo stores.”

The team was on a pre-season exhibition trip in the country, aiming to, among other things, serve as goodwill ambassadors for college basketball.

POTUS WANTS THE WHITE HOUSE CHEF TO MAKE McDONALD’S MENU ITEMS

You want fries with that? (Image: Daily Mirror screenshot)

Eater has the lowdown on this fast-food scoop, reporting that a former (McDonald) Trump bodyguard has revealed that the prez is “a yuge McDonald’s fan — to the point where he asked White House chefs to recreate a Quarter Pounder. This McNugget of information was tucked in a Politico piece on Keith Schiller, Trump’s former bodyguard who was ‘Director of Oval Office Operations’ until September.”

If we had a personal chef, we’d probably ask them to recreate something from Noodles and Co., but that’s just us.
